Manuel Sanchez, 59, of Immokalee, was sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty as
charged with Lewd or Lascivious Molestation and Lewd or Lascivious Conduct. Sanchez was
sentenced immediately after the verdict was returned following the one-day trial in Lee County
on Thursday. He was sentenced to life in prison on count one and 15 years on count two.
Over the course of two years he molested a child in Cape Coral who later told someone about the
crime. The Cape Coral Police Department investigated the child’s allegations and arrested
Sanchez. The child testified at trial against her abuser.
Assistant State Attorney Natalie Savino prosecuted the case.
