In order to insure an efficient system to coordinate witnesses subpoenaed to testify at a court proceeding, and to minimize the inconvenience that often accompanies a subpoena to court, the Office established witness coordination units in each county.
Witness coordinators both reach out to witnesses and handle calls from witnesses regarding court schedules and attendance. They are often a bridge between the witness and the ASA as pertains to courtroom schedules and attendance. The goal of our witness coordinators is to limit (it cannot be eliminated unfortunately) the inconvenience experienced by witnesses when responding to mandatory subpoenas to attend court.
