Saul Alexander Marcano was adjudicated guilty and sentenced to 25 years in prison, followed by lifetime sex offender probation, for one count of Familial or Custodial Sexual Battery.
The defendant was sentenced Tuesday, in Lee County, following an open plea to the court in October.
Defendants can plea directly to the court and give up their right to a jury trial. This is not a plea agreement.
Marcano was arrested following an investigation by the Cape Coral Police Department. They were contacted after the victim told an adult about the crimes, which had occurred in Cape Coral over a several year period.
Assistant State Attorney Taryn Vaughn prosecuted the case.
