Timothy Blaine Hickman has been adjudicated guilty and sentenced to 20 years in prison for drug trafficking. He was convicted last week of Trafficking Methamphetamine – 28-200 grams, Trafficking Phenethylamine -200 grams or more, Trafficking Fentanyl – 14 grams, and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Assistant State Attorneys Brock Frazier and Nicole Santini prosecuted the case.
This case began on November 1, 2021, after the Naples Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on Sandpiper Street, just before 8 p.m. There were two occupants in the vehicle. Inside the car, the officer could see a scale with white residue on it and a large butane type lighter. There was also a baggie, which the female in the driver’s seat, threw into the back seat. It contained glass like shards, which the officer identified as suspected methamphetamine. The female was asked to exit the vehicle and was handcuffed.
In the passenger seat, was the defendant, with a large backpack between his feet, on the floor of the vehicle. He too was asked to exit the vehicle and was handcuffed to be sure he did not destroy or move any evidence.
In the backpack were trafficking amounts of drugs. There was a baggie with 16.2 grams of Fentanyl and two more baggies with off white rocks weighing 210.6 grams, that tested positive for phenethylamine. There were two baggies containing glass like shards weighing 55.3 grams, that tested positive for methamphetamine. There was another bag of phenethylamine weighing 66.4 grams and another bag of meth weighing 5.1 grams.
There was also a glass skull smoking device with a glass pipe containing white residue consistent with ingesting meth, a digital scale, and a spoon with brown drug residue.
