Tedaryl Ardell McKinnon was convicted of Sale of a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a Public Park, Possession of a Place with Knowledge of Trafficking, Sale or Manufacture of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent within 1,000 feet of a Public Park. The jury returned the guilty verdict just before 10 p.m. last night, following a one-day trial in Hendry County.
Assistant State Attorney Kyle Bermingham prosecuted the case.
The defendant was arrested following an undercover operation by the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, targeting illicit narcotics sales in LaBelle. On October 13, 2023, the defendant sold crack cocaine to a confidential informant.
Sentencing is scheduled for December 15, 2025.
