Three Life Sentences in Robbery Case

Jwyanza Quadaar Chito, of Philadelphia, was sentenced to three life sentences after being convicted of three counts of Robbery with a Firearm. He was sentenced today, immediately after the jury returned the guilty verdict following the three-day trial in Lee County.

Assistant State Attorney Olivia Ferrell and Assistant State Attorney Frank Lazzaro prosecuted the case.

On May 17, 2022, the defendant went to a slot machine arcade in Cape Coral and held the clerk at gunpoint. He stole between $20,000 and $30,000. He then fled the scene and went to North Fort Myers. He went into another slot machine arcade and held the clerk there at gunpoint and stole about $1,000. On his way out, he held a patron at gunpoint and grabbed her purse.

He was apprehended two months later, and had in his custody, the firearm and the extended magazine that were used in all three robberies.

The Cape Coral Police Department and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office investigated the cases.

The defendant has a pending robbery case.
