Assistant State Attorney Kate Phillips, Narcotics Unit Chief, prosecuted the case.
Today’s sentence marks the final prosecution for nearly two dozen defendants arrested during NETFORCE Operation All in the Family, for dealing drugs in Lee and Collier counties. The investigation spanned as far as Texas.
“There was a tremendous amount of work that was done by the many NETFORCE law enforcement partners to dismantle this large-scale drug trafficking organization. Large amounts of deadly drugs were taken off of the street, as were numerous weapons used in these crimes, and money gained illicitly by those dealing poison. We will never stop going after anyone who traffics drugs,” said State Attorney Amira Fox.
NETFORCE was formed by State Attorney Fox, in conjunction with law enforcement partners, to form a circuit wide approach to infiltrating and dismantling drug traffic organizations, organized crime, racketeering, and money laundering enterprises in Southwest Florida. NETFORCE includes local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies working together on investigations.
