Rafael Dominguez Barradas was convicted of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation following a two-day trial in Lee County.
Assistant State Attorney Stephen Hawley and Assistant State Attorney Zachary Haefeli prosecuted the case.
The crime happened in 2025. The defendant molested the child victim, who was 5 years old, while in a car with the child victim and their family. They had just left a work party at a family gaming establishment. Law enforcement was immediately contacted.
The defendant was remanded into custody following the guilty verdict. Sentencing is scheduled for November 13, 2026.
