Crack Cocaine Sale Leads to 10 Year Prison Sentence

Corey Eugene Campbell was sentenced to 10 years in prison immediately after being convicted of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell or Deliver and Sale or Delivery of a Controlled Substance. His driver’s license was also suspended for 6 months.

Assistant State Attorney Melanie Sanders and Assistant State Attorney Olivia Ferrell prosecuted the case.

In 2023, the defendant sold crack cocaine to a confidential informant and an undercover detective with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit. He asked them to come to a motel on Palm Beach Boulevard to buy the drugs. The defendant met them in the parking lot of the motel and had them come to his motel room where he sold them .57 grams of crack cocaine for $80. The drug buy led to the defendant’s arrest.
