Criminal Mischief Conviction

Thomas Greco was convicted of Criminal Mischief $1,000 or More, for damaging a law enforcement vehicle, following a one-day trial in Collier County.

Assistant State Attorney Laura Mason prosecuted the case.

The crime happened on October 13, 2022, after a Collier County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop. The defendant, who was driving the car, had an active warrant for their arrest in another case.

The deputy took the defendant into custody and placed him into the back of the patrol vehicle. There was a female passenger in the vehicle the defendant was driving. As he watched her get out of the car, the defendant began yelling and kicking the side window and door of the patrol vehicle. Due to the extensive damage to the door, the defendant was charged.

Sentencing is scheduled for September 5, 2025.
