Timothy Joseph Mace, of Lake Suzy, Florida, has been found guilty as charged with Sale or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance with
Intent, and Transportation of Drug Paraphernalia.
The jury returned the guilty verdict following a two-day trial in Charlotte County. Assistant State Attorney Scott Patterson prosecuted the case.
The crime happened on August 30, 2019, when Mace sold drugs to a confidential informant during an undercover drug operation being conducted by the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
He arranged to meet the person behind a liquor store and then had them come to his home. While there, the defendant sold the confidential informant a baggie of methamphetamine. The drugs weighed 1.2 grams. He was later arrested.
Sentencing is scheduled for September 1, 2023.
