Today Ryeshene DeVonta Bronson was sentenced to 20 years in prison for drug trafficking in two Lee County cases. The defendant was also ordered to pay $300,000 in fines.
Bronson was sentenced as follows:
Case #24-70CF:
• Trafficking in Amphetamines – 28 grams or more: 20 years in prison with a 7-year minimum/mandatory and $100,000 fine
• Trafficking in Dangerous Fentanyl – 14 grams or more: 20 years in prison with a 20-year minimum/mandatory and $100,000 fine
Case #24-69CF:
• Trafficking in Amphetamines – 28 grams or more: 20 years in prison with a 7-year minimum/mandatory and $100,000 fine
Assistant State Attorney Marilla Shoemaker prosecuted the cases.
These cases started in 2023 when the defendant sold drugs while under surveillance during an investigation by Fort Myers Police Department Vice and Narcotics Detectives. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Fort Myers Resident Officer also assisted.
The defendant sold Fentanyl and Methamphetamine, inside of a car, in the parking lot of a major retailer on Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers.
The defendant was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Task Force.
