Drug Trafficker Sentenced to Prison

Christopher Lynn Jackson was sentenced to 10 years in prison as a Habitual Felony Offender (HFO) for Trafficking in Methamphetamine in Charlotte County and was ordered to pay a $100,000 fine. The prison sentence will be followed by 2 years of drug offender probation that includes special conditions such as random search and seizure and a curfew.

He was also sentenced to 10 years in prison for Driving While License Suspended or Revoked as a Habitual Traffic Offender (HTO). The sentences are to run concurrently.

The crimes happened in March 2025. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on the defendant for a driving infraction. A trafficking amount of methamphetamine was found in his waistband.

The defendant did an open plea to the court. This is not a plea agreement. Defendants can plea to the court for sentencing and give up their right to a jury trial.
