Grand Jury Indictment

State Attorney Amira Fox convened the Lee County Grand Jury and they have returned an indictment against Leosbey Cuesta De Armas for the following: First Degree Murder – Capital Felony and First Degree Burglary While Armed – PBL Felony.

The defendant is accused of entering a home in Lehigh Acres surreptitiously, hiding in the pantry, and then stabbing the victim, who was standing nearby. She died from the attack.

The indictment reads in part on Count I – First Degree Murder: On or about November 8, 2025, in Lee County, the defendant, did unlawfully, from a premeditated design, to effect the death of a human being, or while engaged in the perpetration of, or in the attempt to perpetrate a burglary, kill or murder the victim, by inflicting multiple sharp force injuries upon her, using a weapon, to-wit: a knife.

“This was a very targeted attack. The victim was killed while she was with her family decorating for the holidays,” said State Attorney Fox.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case.

“I want to thank the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for their hard work on this case and the Lee County Grand Jury for their attention to the details and evidence,” said State Attorney Fox.
