Johnny Andrus Jackson, 32, of Fort Myers, was found guilty as charged of Sexual Battery Upon a Child Less than 12 Years of Age, Lewd or Lascivious Molestation, Resisting or Obstructing an Officer without Violence, and Lewd or Lascivious Conduct. The jury returned the guilty verdict this afternoon, following a three-day trial in Lee County.
In July 2021, a child victim told a relative about being sexually assaulted by the defendant. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office was then contacted and located Jackson at a home in Lehigh Acres. Their
investigation resulted in the arrest of the defendant.
Assistant State Attorney Erin Hughes, of the Special Victims Unit, and Assistant State Attorney Taryn Vaughn prosecuted the case. Sentencing is scheduled for November 10, 2022.
