William Tyrone Hill, 54, of Englewood, was found guilty of Sexual Battery with Threat of Force. The jury returned the guilty verdict following a three-day trial in Charlotte
County.
The crime happened in August 2020. The victim was struck in the face numerous times and raped by the defendant. She managed to escape and contact the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office. Their
investigation led to the arrest of Hill.
Assistant State Attorney Jennifer Garczewski and Assistant State Attorney Alexa Lipham prosecuted the case. Sentencing is scheduled for February 8th.
