Maximum Prison Sentence for Sex Offender

James Warnell Hines was sentenced to 61.1 months in prison, the maximum sentence allowed by law, for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. He was convicted following a one-day bench trial in Lee County.

He was designated a sex offender for a conviction in a 2024 case which requires him to register the location of his residence with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Assistant State Attorney Frank Lazzaro prosecuted the case.
