Jonte Andreiz Luis Beerbower has been adjudicated guilty and sentenced to the maximum sentence of 180 months in prison for Sexual Battery. He has also been designated as a Sex Offender. The defendant preyed upon a victim while they were sleeping in their own bed.
The defendant was convicted in May. Assistant State Attorneys Adam Sullivan and Ryan Pomponio prosecuted the case.
The crime happened in North Fort Myers in 2023. The defendant had been visiting a friend and snuck into the victim’s room. The victim woke up during the crime but could not get the defendant to stop. As soon as the defendant left, the victim contacted a family member and law enforcement was called.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case.
