Drug trafficker, Genaro Jose Rivera, arrested by NETFORCE during Operation Block Party in 2020, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for trafficking Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and Heroin, in Southwest Florida. He was also ordered to pay more $250,000 in fines and more than $1.7 million for the cost of investigations.
The defendant was adjudicated guilty of:
• Conspiracy to Traffic in Heroin, 4 grams or More
• Conspiracy to Traffic in Fentanyl, 4 grams or More
• Conspiracy to Traffic in Methamphetamine, 28 Grams or More
• Conspiracy to Traffic in Methamphetamine, 14 Grams or More, but Less Than 28 Grams
• Conspiracy to Traffic in Fentanyl, 4 grams or More but Less than 14 grams
• Conspiracy to Traffic in Heroin, 4 grams or More
Assistant State Attorney John Dommerich Jr., Chief of Special Prosecutions, and Assistant State Attorney Natalie Savino prosecuted the case.
NETFORCE was formed by State Attorney Amira Fox in conjunction with law enforcement agency partners, to coordinate a circuit-wide approach to infiltrating and dismantling drug trafficking organizations, organized crime, racketeering, and money-laundering enterprises in Southwest Florida.
