Drug trafficker Michael Chapa, arrested in NETFORCE Operation “All in the Family,” has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for a drug case involving trafficking drugs from Texas to Southwest Florida.
He was adjudicated guilty of the following charges:
• Participation in an Enterprise Through a Pattern of Racketeering Activity – Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act (RICO) – First Degree Felony
• Conspiracy to Traffic in Cocaine, 200 grams or more but less than 400 grams – First Degree Felony
• Conspiracy to Traffic in Methamphetamine, 200 grams or more but less than 400 grams – First Degree Felony
• Conspiracy to Traffic in Methamphetamine, 28 grams or more but less than 400 grams – First Degree Felony
• Conspiracy to Traffic in Cocaine, 28 grams or more but less than 400 grams – First Degree Felony
Assistant State Attorney Kate Rumley, Chief of Narcotics, prosecuted the Collier County case.
The defendant was arrested in 2023 after an extensive NETFORCE undercover investigation revealed the defendant arranged for trafficking amounts of cocaine to be brought from Texas, via bus, to Southwest Florida, to sell it.
NETFORCE Operation “All in the Family” targeted drug trafficking families in Lee and Collier Counties, and their associates, who sell dangerous and illegal narcotics in Southwest Florida.
NETFORCE, made up of many law enforcement agencies, was formed by State Attorney Amira Fox to coordinate a circuit-wide approach to investigating and fighting crime.
