Khylil Draine was adjudicated guilty and sentenced to 32 years in prison, as a minimum/mandatory sentence, for Second Degree Murder and Robbery with a Firearm. He was also sentenced to 15 years in prison for Shooting into a Vehicle.
In June 2024, the defendant shot and killed a man during a robbery involving drugs. The crime happened on Three Oaks Parkway in Lee County. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office handled the investigation.
Assistant State Attorney Andreas Gardiner, of the State Attorney’s Office Homicide Unit, and Assistant State Attorney Erin Hughes prosecuted the case.
