Two Life Sentences in Murder and Burglary Case

Today Ja’Quan Robinson, of Lehigh Acres, was adjudicated guilty and sentenced to two life sentences for First Degree Murder and for Burglary with an Assault or Battery. He was also sentenced to one year in prison for Violation of an Injunction.

Assistant State Attorney Sara Miller, of the Homicide Unit, and Assistant State Attorney Leena Marcos prosecuted the case.

In October 2020, the defendant snuck into a Fort Myers home and hid, waiting for the victim. He then came out of hiding and killed the victim by beating her to death. The defendant violated an order of protection in going near her.

The Fort Myers Police Department investigated the case.
