Enrique Morales Ordonez has been convicted of four counts of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation, two counts of Familial or Custodial Sexual Battery, and one count each of Lewd or Lascivious Conduct, and Battery.
The jury returned the guilty verdict, following a three-day trial in Lee County. Assistant State Attorney Anastasia Snetkova prosecuted the case.
The case started in July 2023 when the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in Lee County in reference to the sexual battery of a child. Acquaintances of the defendant told deputies that when he had been drinking, he bragged about having sexually abused the victim.
An adult spoke to the child and they admitted they had been victimized by the defendant. The investigation led to the arrest of Ordonez.
Sentencing is scheduled for October 14, 2024.
