Daulton James Reiter was sentenced to 15 years in prison as a Prison Releasee Reoffender (PRR) for Burglary of a Dwelling, Unlawful Exposure of Sexual Organs, and Resisting without Violence. He was convicted in May, following a jury trial in Lee County.
Assistant State Attorney Tom Guthrie and Deputy Chief Assistant State Attorney Abe Thornburg prosecuted the case.
The crime happened in Cape Coral on May 14, 2024. A woman was standing in her kitchen doing dishes, when she saw a man standing on her lanai, with his pants down, exposing himself.
A witness who lived nearby saw the suspect walk into a trailer. They believed it was the person who lived there and that he drove a motorcycle.
Cape Coral Police were called and quicky responded. Officers went to the trailer and as they did a man drove off on a motorcycle, refusing commands to stop. He was later apprehended and arrested.
