25 Year Prison Sentence for Crimes Against a Child

Peter Ramos, of New Hampshire, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for two counts of Lewd or Lascivious Battery on a Child Less than 16 Years Old, followed by 5 years of sex offender probation. Ramos was also designated a Sexual Predator.

He was convicted in December, following a trial in Charlotte County. Assistant State Attorneys Alexa Lipham and Kristan Burns prosecuted the case.

In October 2022, the Goffstown Police Department in New Hampshire, received a report of a sexual battery on a child victim that had occurred previously, in Charlotte County. The Goffstown Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit began an investigation and confirmed the identity of the defendant as the perpetrator.

Detectives also downloaded Snapchat videos captured by the victim, of the defendant interacting with them. They then contacted the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit to take over the investigation.

Detectives in Charlotte County reviewed the evidence and determined the videos corroborated what the victim said happened. In one video, the defendant is seen coming into the victim’s room and speaking in a lewd manner to the child.

The crime happened in a rented Airbnb. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office got a subpoena for records pertaining to the rental and were able to establish the reservation details at the time of the crime. Their investigation led to the arrest of the defendant.
