25 Years in Prison in Child Pornography Case

Marshall Allen Faulkner was sentenced to 25 years in prison followed by 25 years of Sex Offender Probation, and designated a Sexual Offender, for 20 counts of
Possession of Child Pornography. The jury returned the guilty verdict in October, following a trial in Lee County.

The State Attorney’s Office Special Victims Unit handled the case. Assistant State Attorney Heather Fly led the prosecution.

The crime was uncovered in August 2020 when the Cape Coral Police Department learned of possible child pornography being in the home of the 46-year-old defendant in Matlacha. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office was contacted to investigate due to it being their jurisdiction. Detectives secured a computer, that had belonged to the defendant, which contained illegal images of children.

A search warrant was executed at Faulkner’s home. A computer, thumb drive and SD card, were seized by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and their Digital Forensic Specialist found numerous graphic sexual images of young children contained on the devices.

As part of his sentence the defendant must also pay more than $3,000 in fines to the Rape Crisis Fund and more than $3,000 in fines to Crimes Against Minors, plus additional court costs.
