30 Years in Prison for Custodial Sexual Battery

Kyle Kristopher Kelly, 36, of Cape Coral, was adjudicated guilty and sentenced to 30 years in prison for one count of Custodial Sexual Battery. The prison sentence will be followed by lifetime Sex Offender Probation. He was also designated a Sexual Predator.

In August 2020, a child told an adult about being molested by Kelly at a home in Cape Coral. The Cape Coral Police Department Major Crimes Unit was contacted and began an investigation leading to the arrest of the defendant.

Assistant State Attorney Erin Hughes, of the State Attorney’s Office Special Victims Unit, prosecuted the case.
