Ethan Brown, 28, of Labelle, was sentenced to 2 years in prison followed by 3 years of probation after being found guilty of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon by a Collier County jury following his 2 day trial.
Brown was speeding past the victim’s Copeland home in February when she yelled at him to slow down because her children were playing in the front yard. A few minutes later Brown drove back down the street towards her, sped up and swerved into her driveway where she was standing causing her to run to get out of the way. The victim said she saw Brown laughing as it happened. Multiple witnesses saw the event and corroborated the victim’s story. There were also tire marks that swerved onto the victim’s driveway.
Assistant State Attorney Jennifer Toussaint prosecuted the case.
