The State Attorney’s Office has charged Yousel Lopez Rivera with one count of Attempted First Degree Murder on a Law Enforcement Officer- Possessing a Firearm, a Life Felony, for the shooting of Cape Coral Police Officer David Wagoner on April 16th.
If found guilty, Rivera faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison.
