Thomas Michael Greco has been convicted of Lewd or Lascivious Conduct, Transmission of Material Harmful to a Minor, Traveling to Meet a Minor, Soliciting a Child or Person Believed by the Defendant to be a Child for Unlawful Sexual Conduct Using Computer Services or Devices, and five counts of Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance.
Assistant State Attorneys Emma Thomas and Adam Sullivan, of the Special Victims Unit, prosecuted the case. The jury returned the guilty as charged verdict following a three-day trial in Lee County.
This case started in March 2025, when the Lee County Sheriff’s Office was called to a home, after a resident stepped outside, and saw a suspicious vehicle parked outside, and a man loitering in the early morning hours.
Deputies arrived on scene and found the man, later identified as the defendant, about a block away. The home he had been outside of was where a child lived that he had been communicating with. The investigation revealed weeks of texts messages with the child victim as well as the defendant soliciting child sexual abuse material, in the way of photos and videos, from the child victim.
The investigation further revealed that the defendant traveled from his home in Collier County, to Lee County, to get to the child victim.
At the time the defendant was detained by deputies, the defendant had a condom in his pocket and a male enhancement pill.
Sentencing is scheduled for October 19, 2026.
