Dywane Markie Jackson, 26, faces up to life in prison when he is sentenced after being found guilty as charged of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation and Lewd or Lascivious Conduct by a jury in Lee County.
In May 2015 the 9 year old victim was at Jackson’s home when the defendant tried to take off the victim’s pants and inappropriately touched him.
The following day Jackson asked the victim to touch his genital area and the victim refused. Jackson then offered to pay the victim $50 to touch him.
Sentencing is scheduled for January 18th. Assistant State Attorney Heather Searcy of our Special Victims Unit handled the case.
