Crimes Against a Child

Today in Charlotte County, Jonathan Maddage, 39, pled guilty to one count of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation and was sentenced to 25 years in prison followed by lifetime sex offender probation. This probation requires the defendant to wear a GPS tracking device for the rest of his life to monitor his location. He also is not allowed to have contact with any children during his life, among other sanctions.

Between August of 2017 and January of 2018 he committed lewd acts on a child under 12. This plea agreement prevents the child victim from having to testify at trial.

Assistant State Attorney Stephanie Powers handled the case.
