This afternoon, Chesarae Marquise Graham was adjudicated guilty and sentenced for selling drugs in Charlotte County, following his July conviction.
He was sentenced to 5 years in prison, followed by 5 years of probation, for Sale or Delivery of a Controlled Substance and received the same sentence for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent. He was also sentenced to 5 years in prison for Transportation of Drug Paraphernalia. The sentences are concurrent.
On March 10, 2021, the defendant sold 3.5 grams of Fentanyl to a member of the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit working undercover during a drug operation.
The defendant met the undercover deputy in an apartment parking lot and received $450 for a drug sale. Graham then retrieved the bag of Fentanyl from a nearby vehicle and gave it to the undercover deputy.
Assistant State Attorney Tracy Detzel prosecuted the case.
