Kevin Joseph Jaimes has been convicted of trafficking drugs in Southwest Florida. A jury returned the guilty verdict following a five-day trial in Lee County.
The defendant was arrested on April 27, 2023, during an operation by members of the NETFORCE Task Force. NETFORCE was formed by State Attorney Amira Fox in conjunction with law enforcement agency partners, to coordinate a circuit-wide approach to infiltrating and dismantling drug trafficking organizations and other criminal enterprises in Southwest Florida.

• Sale of Cocaine- Guilty
• Possession of Cocaine – (2 counts) Guilty all counts
• Trafficking in Cocaine – 28 Grams or More but Less Than 200 Grams – Guilty
• Trafficking in Fentanyl – 4 Grams or More but Less Than 14 Grams – Guilty
• Sale or Delivery of Fentanyl – Guilty
• Conspiracy to Traffic in Cocaine – 28 Grams or More but Less Than 200 Grams (4 counts) – Guilty all counts
• Conspiracy to Traffic in Fentanyl – 28 Grams or More but Less Than 200 Grams – Guilty
• Conspiracy to Traffic in Methamphetamine – 200 Grams or More- Guilty
• Conspiracy to Traffic in Methamphetamine – 28 Grams or More but Less Than 200 Grams – (2 counts) – Guilty all counts
• Conspiracy to Traffic in Fentanyl – 28 Grams or More -Guilty
Assistant State Attorney Katherine Rumley, Chief of Narcotics, and Assistant State Attorney Adam Sullivan prosecuted the case.
There are 6 co-defendants awaiting trial.
Sentencing for Kevin Jaimes is scheduled for May 6, 2025.
