Drug Trafficker Guilty as Charged

Thaddeus Joseph Majtyka has been found guilty as charged of Trafficking in Amphetamine.

The conviction comes following a one-day jury trial in Charlotte County, prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Scott Patterson.

On June 25, 2019, the defendant sold 27.9 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant while under surveillance by the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit.

The defendant, who goes by the street name, “Machine Gun Ted,” and the confidential informant, arranged the drug sale to take place at a mobile home on Burnt Store Road in Punta Gorda. The defendant sold a plastic baggie full of the drug. He was arrested following the investigation.

Sentencing is scheduled for May 3, 2024.
