Stacey Lynn Matias Lopez has been found guilty as charged of Trafficking in Fentanyl – 4 Grams or More, following a two-day trial in Lee County.
Assistant State Attorney SueGweneth Venord prosecuted the case.
In October 2021, Lopez arranged a drug sale from her room at a Fort Myers motel. She sold 50 bags of Fentanyl, that she tried to pass off as heroin. She sold 11 grams total, for $500. The transaction was being monitored via video surveillance and law enforcement on scene, by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit.
Sentencing is set for February 12, 2024.
