Drug Trafficking Conviction for Cocaine and Hydrocodone

Sentencing has been scheduled for May 23, 2024, for Jude Dorestal after being convicted of Trafficking in Cocaine – 400 grams or more, Trafficking in Hydrocodone – 28 grams or more, but less than 50 grams, and Possession of Paraphernalia, following a two-day trial in Collier County.

Assistant State Attorney Brock Frazier prosecuted the case.

On July 29, 2022, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Bureau, along with members of the Collier County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, served a search warrant at a home on Gilchrist Street in Naples. During a search of the home, multiple jars and bags of marijuana were found in the kitchen. There were also two digital scales with cocaine residue and three glass measuring cups with cocaine residue.

In the master bedroom cocaine was located on a table and in a dresser drawer. There was also a box found under a table containing 98 Hydrocodone pills. A bag in a closet contained $3,944 in cash.

Under the bed, there was miscellaneous narcotic paraphernalia and a safe at the foot of the bed contained more than 400 grams of cocaine.

There were multiple vehicles at the residence and on a keyring with car keys, that belonged to the defendant, there was also a key to the safe that contained the drugs. He was arrested at the scene.
