Today in Lee County, Fentanyl and heroin trafficker, Detron Akeem Williams, of Fort Myers, was adjudicated guilty and sentenced for trafficking drugs in Lee County, following a two-day jury trial.
The defendant was sentenced to 25 years in prison and ordered to pay a $50,000 fine for Trafficking in Heroin 4 grams or more, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell or Deliver (Fentanyl) and Sale or Delivery of Fentanyl.
Assistant State Attorneys Chris Cummins, of the Narcotics Unit, and Lisney Agramonte prosecuted the case.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office investigation into the defendant began in June 2025. Members of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit participated in several drug buys with the defendant. A confidential informant and undercover narcotics detective were present during the deals.
On September 2, 2026, the defendant proceeded to trial and was found guilty of Trafficking in Fentanyl 4 grams or more, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell or Deliver (Heroin) and Sale or Delivery of Heroin. He was immediately sentenced to 15 years in prison and was ordered to pay a $50,000 fine in that case.

The sentence in the second case will run concurrent with the prior sentence.
