Angel Yaril Correa, 42, of Lehigh Acres, was found guilty as charged with two counts of Trafficking in Fentanyl 28 grams or More and Delivery of a Controlled Substance –
Methamphetamine. The jury returned the guilty verdict following a two-day trial in Collier County.
On November 9, 2018, the defendant sold just under two ounces of Fentanyl, for just over $3,000, and provided a sample of Methamphetamine. It was a controlled purchase by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.
On November 30, 2018, the defendant negotiated a deal to sell two ounces of heroin for the same amount during another controlled purchase. Investigative funds were exchanged for one bag of suspect heroin. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement tested the substance and confirmed it was Fentanyl.
