Grand Theft Sentence

Blake Deantoni-Rummo, 31, was sentenced to 7 years in prison followed by 5 years of probation for Grand Theft and Burglary of a Dwelling.

In June 2018 the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call where a burglary had taken place. Officers found a broken window in the kitchen and things in the home had been rummaged through. The homeowner reported $5500 in cash had been stolen. Detectives recovered a fingerprint from a piece of broken glass on the ground outside of the home as well as blood inside the home. Both the fingerprint and blood matched the defendant.

Deantoni-Rummo has several prior felony convictions and was charged as a Habitual Felony Offender. Assistant State Attorney Robert Rodriguez handled the case.
