Carl Henry Telusma, 30, of Fort Myers, was found guilty as charged of Battery on a Law
Enforcement Officer and Resisting an Officer with Violence. The jury returned the guilty verdict
following a one-day trial in Lee County.
Telusma attacked a correctional officer with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office while incarcerated
in the Lee County Jail for a previous battery case. He punched the deputy in the neck and
attempted to kick him.
Sentencing is scheduled for June 2nd. Assistant State Attorney Tyler Lovejoy prosecuted the
case.
