Ever Alexander Gomez Alfaro, 33, of Naples, was found guilty as charged of Sexual Battery of a Child Under 12 and Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of a Child Under 12. The jury returned
the guilty verdict just before noon, following a seven-day trial in Collier County.
In 2018, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office Special Crimes Bureau responded to a call about a child who had been sexually assaulted. Detectives met with the victim’s relative who reported the crime. Evidence was collected and upon further investigation, Alfaro was arrested.
The child victim testified at trial against her attacker. Sentencing is scheduled for September 17th.
Assistant State Attorney Natalie Stowe Heiderscheit and Assistant State Attorney Deborah Cunningham prosecuted the case.
