Guilty Verdict in Child Pornography Case

Marshall Allen Faulkner, 46, was found guilty as charged of 20 counts of Possession of Child Pornography. The guilty verdict was returned by a jury just before 6 p.m. last night,
following a three-day trial in Lee County.

In August 2020, the Cape Coral Police Department learned of possible child pornography being in the home of the defendant in Matlacha. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office was contacted to investigate due to it being their jurisdiction. Detectives secured a computer, that had belonged to the defendant, which contained illegal images of children.

A search warrant was executed at Faulkner’s home. A computer, thumb drive, and SD card, were seized by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. A Lee County Sheriff’s Office Digital Forensic Specialist found numerous graphic sexual images of young children contained on the devices.

Faulkner was then arrested and the case was turned over to the State Attorney’s Office Special Victim’s Unit. Assistant State Attorney Heather Fly filed charges and prosecuted the case. Sentencing is scheduled for November 22nd.
