Guilty Verdict in Drug Case

Kendell Carter, 34, of Fort Myers, was found guilty as charged of Trafficking in Illegal Drugs – 4 Grams or More, but less than 14 Grams. The jury returned the guilty verdict following a twoday trial in Lee County.

In 2019, Carter sold a bag of drugs to a confidential informant in the industrial park area of Cape Coral. The bag contained a mixture of 7 grams of fentanyl and heroin. The confidential informant was working with the Cape Coral Police Department as part of an undercover operation.

Sentencing is scheduled for November 15th.

Assistant State Attorney Paul Thomas and Assistant State Attorney Agnieszka Osowicka prosecuted the case.
