Guilty Verdict in Weapon Case

Allen Castile, 57, was found guilty as charged of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. The jury returned the guilty verdict
following a one-day trial in Lee County.

On December 28, 2020, Castile was yelling outside of his home in Lehigh Acres. His neighbor stepped outside and asked him to stop. The defendant then pointed a gun at her and threatened to shoot her. She ran inside to safety and a Lee County Sheriff’s Deputy arrived on scene. He met with the defendant near his front door and saw a shotgun just inside the doorway. He positioned himself between the gun and the defendant and waited for backup. Additional deputies arrived and the firearm was seized and secured. Castile was then placed under arrest.

Sentencing is scheduled for October 18th. Assistant State Attorney Leena Marcos prosecuted the case.
