Jon Thomas Burson has been convicted of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation of a Child Under 12. He was convicted following a trial in Charlotte County.
Assistant State Attorney Dennis Wallace II, of the Special Victims Unit, and Assistant State Attorney Christopher Stone prosecuted the case.
The defendant was a trusted family friend of the victim’s family. He repeatedly molested the victim at his home between 2018 and 2019.
Sentencing is scheduled for September 11, 2026.
