Bradley Jay Jackson, 58, of Fort Myers, was found guilty as charged of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation. The jury returned the guilty verdict following a two-day trial in Lee
County.
The court moved immediately into the bifurcated portion of the trial, which is when the sentencing enhancement evidence was presented. Jackson was found to be a Dangerous Sexual Felony
Offender. He was immediately sentenced to life in prison.
In April 2021, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received information about a past occurred sex crime involving a child and began an investigation. Their investigation led to the identification and arrest of the defendant, who was a registered sex offender.
Assistant State Attorney Christine Cummins of the State Attorney’s Office Special Victims Unit and Assistant State Attorney Ryan Pomponio prosecuted the case.
