Life in Prison for Crimes Against Children

Today, Timothy Richard Rice, 44, of North Port, was sentenced to life in prison in a case involving crimes against children. Rice was found guilty in March of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation and two counts of Lewd or Lascivious Conduct, following a Charlotte County trial.

In 2019, the defendant went to a public pool in Charlotte County and touched two children in a lewd or lascivious manner. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s office handled the investigation.

Charlotte County Felony Chief, Assistant State Attorney Jennifer Garczewski and Assistant State Attorney Alexa Lipham prosecuted the case.
