This morning, Ryan Lee Foster was adjudicated guilty and sentenced to 30 years in prison, the maximum sentence, for Manslaughter with a Deadly Weapon. Foster was convicted in December.
Assistant State Attorney Sara Miller, of the State Attorney’s Office Homicide Unit, prosecuted the case.
In March 2022, Foster stabbed his neighbor, who was also a family member, multiple times, killing him.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office investigated the scene and quickly identified Foster as a suspect. He was located in North Fort Myers and still had the victim’s blood on his clothing when he was arrested.
