Brian Patterson was sentenced to 7 years in prison as a Habitual Felony Offender for one count each of Burglary of a Dwelling and Grand Theft in Lee County.
In March of this year the defendant smashed in the window to the victim’s vehicle while it was parked in a driveway. The defendant then removed a wireless security camera from the victim’s home but not before looking straight into the camera.
Deputies from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office were able to identify the defendant based on the still image from the security video.
Assistant State Attorney Robert Rodriguez prosecuted the case.
